In the blessed land of Palestine, there stands a sacred mosque — Masjid Al-Aqsa. It is one of the most beloved places in Islam, and the third holiest mosque after Makkah and Madinah. Masjid Al-Aqsa is where our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was taken on a special journey called Al-Isra’ an Mi’raj — a night journey from Makkah to Al-Aqsa, and from there, up to the heavens. Allah says in the Qur’an:
“Glory be to the One who took His servant by night from Al-Masjid Al-Haram to Al- Masjid Al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed.”
(Surah Al-Isra, 17:1)
This mosque is not only beautiful with its golden dome and graceful arches — it is a place full of history, sacrifice, and honour. Many prophets prayed here. Many brave people have protected it. And many hearts continue to long for it. Today, when you colour your Sejadah, know that Masjid Al-Aqsa is more than a picture. It is a symbol of hope, strength, and love for Allah. Never forget it, and always make du’a for its peace.
